Exercise Facilitator
Filos' Active Ageing Centre provides a suite of programmes to help seniors live healthier lives and support their aspirations to age in place. Through the HAPPY Interest Group, seniors participating in the programme engage in exercises with cognitive stimulation elements.
- Timing: 10am - 11am (Set up at 9.30am)
- Frequency: Weekly (between Mon - Fri), Min 6 months
- Volunteer Requirements: At least 18 years old, Physically fit and able to support exercise programmes
Exercise Facilitator
You will help:
- Facilitate HAPPY Interest Group session every week, including doing exercises alongside seniors, helping seniors complete the exercises safely
- To manage logistics and help in the operations, wherever necessary. Some of these duties include but are not limited to making reminder calls to participants, creating attendance lists using Microsoft Office and taking attendance.
- To actively engage the participants for greater participation
- To upkeep the cleanliness of the facilities after every use
- To ensure safety of the participants at all times
Volunteer Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- Language proficiency: English and Mandarin/ Malay/ dialects
- Physically fit and able to facilitate exercise programmes
- Responsible, friendly and patient with a passion to care for the elderly
- Those who are unable to commit to the full 6 months period will be considered on a case-by-case basis
