Joyful Learning Programme (Volunteer Teachers)
Help young children from vulnerable backgrounds discover the joy of reading!
As a volunteer, you will teach and guide children in reading while cultivating their love for learning through engaging storytelling and activities. These may include arts and crafts, show-and-tell, music and movement, and STEM activities.
Programme period:
Every Tuesday, from 12 January to November 2027
Time:
4pm to 5.30pm
Compulsory volunteer training:
7 November 2026 (Saturday)
Registration deadline:
26 October 2026 (Monday)
Volunteer Teachers
Volunteer requirements:
- At least 17 years old
- Proficient in English
- Enjoys engaging with and working with young children
- Able to commit regularly to the programme
- Must attend the compulsory volunteer training conducted by ECF
